Don’t be too hard on yourself. You are doing your best!

These are difficult times for parents and for children. Our worlds have been turned upside down. The routines we have worked so hard to establish have been thrown out the window. We are afraid and anxious. Our children have questions and as parents we are walking on eggshells a little, not quite sure how to answer them. It is difficult to get out for that all important exercise and fresh air. We don’t want them to fall behind in school. The list of worries and stresses for parents could go on and on at the moment BUT ………..

Go easy on yourself. Your child will be fine. Remember they are so resilient and adaptable – much more than us adults. They also tend to take things at face value and not read too much into the information they are given. They have a natural ability to find the fun in any situation so follow their lead and have a little fun with them. Smile together, laugh together and some of your worries will ease. Remember! You are doing your best!
