Talking to your baby, no matter how small they are, does wonders for their brain development and learning. Here are a few simple tips to make sure they get the most out of these interactions with you.
Make eye contact with your baby, and let them see your happy face. It is their favourite thing to look at.
Use a sing-song, high pitched tone. Babies like this better than our normal voices.
Use longer vowel sounds and exaggerate your pronunciation of words. For example, daddy becomes daaaddyy.
Don’t forget a conversation goes two ways! Stop and wait – your baby will talk back to you!
