“Be” with your child

Sometimes, we feel we have to entertain our children all of the time: take them places, do certain activities and teach their ABC’s. When we feel under pressure to do it all, it ‘s worth remembering what is truly important is to just “be” with them.

Often, it is when the chaos of life slows down that we offer the most support to our children. This can be sitting in silence, or holding their hand as they take those first tentative steps on a new journey.  Sometimes, it is smiling and laughing with them as they tell us about something that makes them really happy. Other times, it is crying with them as they share something that makes them very sad. To make sure you don’t miss these incredible moments, try taking the time to just “be” with your child.
