We all like to get a nice surprise every once in a while. To praise your child for a job well done, try spur-of-the-moment rewards! Surprise your child with a new story, an additional scoop of ice cream, a game of soccer in the back yard, a game, or TV time. Use whatever reward works for you and your child. And don’t forget to tell them why they have earned it. This will encourage them to repeat the positive behaviour.
